This home started with a simple goal: make the main room feel grounded, warm, and built to last. We cut and numbered the Douglas fir frame in New Richmond before anything left for the site.
The great room rises to a 26-foot ridge beam. Every mortise was cut by hand, every joint draw-bored and pegged, and every visible surface was finished before the raising.
Large glass openings bring the wooded site into the room, while deep timber overhangs help shade the house through the summer.
