Black Locust House uses a dark exterior to settle into a wooded site. Inside, the frame and ceiling boards bring the warmth back.
The cladding was charred and finished by hand for weather resistance and a quieter look.
The contrast is the point: sheltered from the road, open to the trees, and simple in its details.
